Massachusetts has some of the most comprehensive and effective gun safety laws in the country, the second lowest gun death rate in the U.S. and has successfully reduced gun deaths by 40% over the past 25 years. We attribute this success to a three-prong approach to reduce and prevent gun injuries and deaths. (1) Raise public awareness, (2) Enact effective gun laws and (3) Invest in focused public education and community violence intervention programs. Read our report for more detail.
